A Radiation Therapist at this level is expected to assume a responsible role in performing all aspects of radiation therapy imaging, planning and treatment delivery, according to departmental and District policies, procedures and guidelines.
In addition to the expected level of proficiency of a Level 2, a Radiation Therapist employed under this level must demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in complex clinical procedures. The level 2 Radiation Therapist is expected to participate in the development and upgrading of clinical protocols and techniques.
Effective communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to team building, quality assurance and high standards of patient care are expected.

Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science (Radiation Therapy) or Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Radiation Sciences )- Radiation Therapy or qualifications deemed equivalent by CCLHD
Licensure and accreditation with appropriate authorities including:
o Australian Institute of Radiography
o Department of Environment Climate Change and Water
o Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Demonstrated experience in all aspects of radiation therapy planning and treatment delivery including; multimodality imaging, IMRT, VMAT and IGRT techniques.
Demonstrated proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrate good organisational skills and attributes
Proven communication and interpersonal skills, both written and spoken, to interact with patients, their carers and professional colleagues.
Demonstrate knowledge and application of radiation therapy quality assurance and quality controls in radiation therapy.
Demonstrate interest in continuing professional education, research and quality improvement activities.
Demonstrated commitment to Caring for the Coast vision, goals and strategies, with demonstrated behaviours which align with the NSW Health CORE values and CCLHD Values and behaviours charter.
