These new graduate internship positions are responsible for providing physiotherapy for the Central Coast Local Health District under the supervision of a senior physiotherapist. Rotations include ICU, HDU/Surgical, Medical, Neurology, Rehabilitation and out patients. Good clinical skills, communication and teamwork are required to ensure patients are well managed, and an optimal service is provided.
The Central Coast Local Health District is offering exciting opportunities for 6 new graduate physiotherapists to participate in an intensive 12 month internship program with structured and supportive rotations over six key clinical areas.
The Physiotherapy Department aims to provide a quality physiotherapy service to the people of the Central Coast with excellence in treatment, education and communication through skilled and caring staff. The service is provided at Gosford, Wyong and Woy Woy Hospitals, Long Jetty Health Care Centre, the Child and Family Health Centre, and through community teams.
Perfectly positioned between Sydney and Newcastle on the NSW coast , Gosford is nestled at the head of Brisbane Waters, one of Australia’s most extraordinary natural waterways. Gosford is part of the Sydney Greater Metropolitan Region which has been designated one of the six regional cities within this area.
We are looking for new graduates that will be registered with the Australian Physiotherapy Board (within AHPRA) in 2016 and can display an attitude and behave in a manner that is courteous, friendly, supportive and professional.
Interviews for this position will be held on Wednesday 16 th September 2015 and will involve a practical assessment of relevant physiotherapy skills. Phone interviews will not be allowed.

Eligible for registration with the Australian Physiotherapy Board (within AHPRA) in 2016 on completion of a Physiotherapy degree
Evidence of sound clinical reasoning and practical application of theoretical knowledge.
Good time management, organisational and communication skills
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Understanding of workplace health and safety
Evidence of a sound undergraduate record including clinical placement (please submit ALL relevant academic transcripts and ALL placement assessments completed, as part of your application).
