    Formed in 1998, Barwon Health is one of the largest and most comprehensive regional health services in Australia, providing care at all stages of life and circumstance. Health services available through Barwon Health cover the full spectrum from primary care, community services, aged care, rehabilitation, mental health, emergency and acute care.

    Barwon Health’s Safety and Quality unit provides support to the organisation in the areas of accreditation, incident and complaint management, clinical audit, risk management, policy and procedure management, medico-legal services and Consumer Centred Care

    About the role

    This role will support the organisation to maintain compliance with the Residential Aged Care standards, work with members of the Safety and Quality unit to promote safety, quality and innovation, foster a commitment to continuous improvement and act as a resource for Residential Aged Care staff in safety and quality issues

    Selection Criteria
    Essential: A tertiary qualification in a field of health care
    Essential: Significant experience in Residential Aged Care
    Desirable: Previous experience in healthcare auditing
    Desirable: Demonstrated experience in the use of quality processes, including performance indicators and monitoring, benchmarking and RCA/Case review
    Desirable: Proven capacity to define and reconcile complex and competing priorities, together with the ability to engage key stakeholders
    Desirable: Excellent writing and analytical skills
    Desirable: Competence in using Microsoft applications.
