    The Customer Services Department delivers a broad range of administrative support across Barwon Health including Patient Liaison, Reception, Admissions, Cashiers, and Patient Accounts. We are available to provide support and advice to any departments seeking to improve their billing or admission processes, increase revenue streams, improve collections or implement new billing initiatives.

    About the role

    Are you looking for the opportunity to be a part of a highly skilled, professional, friendly team who take pride in providing high quality service? In your role as Customer Service Officer – Cashier you will be responsible for providing outstanding levels of customer service to patients and consumers, whilst providing accurate recording and reconciliation of debtors and collection functions of the patients accounts department. You will be working on a range of medical billing systems and will be required to develop and understand all billing and receipting functions. You will be required to provide an outstanding level of support to consumers, team members and all BH staff.

    Essential: Do you have superior customer handling skills and excellent telephone technique?
    Essential: Do you have good keyboard, numeracy and literacy skills?
    Essential: Can you work the hours of 0800-1700?
    Essential: Can you work full time or extra shifts when required at short notice?
    Essential: Describe your previous customer service experience and give examples
    Essential: Describe your previous cash handling experience
    Essential: Describe the credentials you hold that are relevant to this position
    Essential: Mature, friendly disposition with a high level of tolerance and compassion towards consumers, team members and our external customers.
