About the role:
Our Infrastructure Maintenance team currently has a permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced Track Worker (RIW level 4) to join our Blackwater team. As part of the Network maintenance division, you will work in a small team to carry out track maintenance & repairs to the rail system. You will be a hands on team leader/supervisor who will be responsible for the efficient day to day management of all aspects of track maintenance.
About the Role:
You will assist the supervisor in effective planning, organisation, communication and leadership to enable safe and efficient management of all infrastructure maintenance.
Lead & motivate a small team to ensure the work is carried out safety and effectively.
Ensure that safety and performance targets are met by actively promoting safe behaviours.
Undertake infrastructure track maintenance and other duties as required.
Coach and mentor staff whilst actively displaying Aurizon’s values.
Previous rail & construction experience ( Highly desirable )
Cat 3 qualified ( Highly desirable )
Understanding of Planning and Scheduling of tasks
Open Drivers Licence
Basic understanding of windows
A commitment to safety & Zero Harm
Ability to work cohesively in a small team
Previous supervisory/leading hand experience
