Senior Investment Officer (3 – 6 Month Contract)

  • Sydney CBD
  • Contract due to growth

My client is a well-known Investment Manager who is an Australian based success story and a company that continues to grow rapidly. Team growth is the catalyst for this contract hire and you will be responsible for delivering all investment administration and fund accounting services to their institutional clients.

You will also be responsible for assisting with the preparation and delivery of relevant fund accounting and investment control analysis and reporting, investment manager due diligence and operational reviews in line with agreed service level standards.

It is essential that your experience is from an investment administration / custody fund services environment although other backgrounds such as industry superannuation will certainly be considered. Local rather than international experience is preferred and a desire for a career in funds management rather than a short term contract role is paramount as opportunities may present themselves in this growing environment. Cultural fit is imperative for this organization and you will be a proven team player.

This role is ideal for a client centric candidate who is proven in a fund accounting or investment administration environment who understand Australian Tax and regulations but also the ability to build strong relationships with clients.

In addition the following is advantageous:

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications.
  • (CA/CPA/CFA/FINSIA).
  • Proven ability to type and apply strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet timelines.
  • Technical working understanding of Fund Accounting – Investment administration, Unit Pricing (including crediting rate) and statutory reporting.
  • Able to contribute positively and collaboratively to the team environment.
  • Strong understanding of investment markets and securities and valuation methodologies.
