Maintenance Coordinator – Dawson Mine
Currently we require a highly skilled Maintenance Coordinator in our Maintenance Department who possesses the drive and passion to develop a culture focused on safety and efficiency that will deliver a high availability and reliability to our Field Equipment Fleet.
Reporting through to the Maintenance Superintendent (Engineering and Planning), you will be responsible for the planning and safe execution of equipment shutdowns across site. Through your demonstrated leadership skills you will play a pivotal role in supporting the business to achieve the maintenance availability targets and other operational KPI’s. You will be passionate about motivating and engaging others as you lead your team to achieve these targets through complying with site standards and procedures. In addition, you will continually foster a team safety culture within your department through the engagement of your team and management of safety issues and hazards.
Your ability to manage planned shutdowns and understanding of contractor management and maintenance planning will be critical to the success of this role. A commitment to Zero Harm, managing maintenance costs and workplace efficiency will be the key to your success. Your focus on continuous improvement, strong leadership skills and knowledge of computer based maintenance programs will ensure both high equipment availability and reliability.
To be successful in the role you will possess a mechanical engineering degree (or equivalent) or relevant trade qualifications as either a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Fitter, significant project/shutdown management experience and demonstrated experience in dealing with both internal and external stakeholders. Relevant supervisory experience and completion of your supervisory certifications formerly (S1, S2, S3 and G2) are the minimum requirements for the role. Experience and exposure to Shovels, Excavators, and Draglines will be advantageous but not absolutely necessary for the role.
This is a permanent full time position and is based in Moura.
