We currently have an opportunity for a Junior Legal Secretary to join our Perth office. We are looking for someone who is interested in receiving invaluable on the job training to develop their skills as a professional legal secretary. This role requires an enthusiastic, committed professional who demonstrates a strong contribution to their team, and a high degree of diplomacy, discretion and confidentiality.
As a Junior Legal Secretary we will ensure that you experience all aspects of the firm including assignments in our legal practice groups, exposure to our corporate business service areas, and opportunities to gain an in-depth understanding of Allens’ technical systems. We will provide great opportunities to grow and learn in an extremely supportive environment. To start with you will work in various legal practice groups and then we will transition you into a role where you will be supporting a number of legal operatives and will be involved in a wide variety of secretarial activities including preparing and amending agreements and legal correspondence; assuming responsibility of administrative matters; and taking a proactive approach to preparing bills and monthly client reports.
The successful applicant will be someone who has the ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively. Delivering a high quality of support to your team will require you to communicate confidently with a wide range of internal and external clients. The key skills required to excel in this role include a strong focus on building your technical ability, (starting with a strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite); a proactive mind-frame; and enthusiasm to learn from those around you.
