Carnarvon Medical Services Aboriginal Corporation (CMSAC) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service established in 1986. CMSAC aims to provide primary, secondary and specialist health care services to the Carnarvon and surrounding region, including the Mungullah Community, Gascoyne Junction and Burringurrah Community.
With programs in Home and Community Care, Environmental Health, Patient Journey and Youth Support, CMSAC strives to provide the highest standard of patient care whilst incorporating a holistic approach to diagnosis and management of illness.

About the Opportunity
CMSAC has a six week leave cover opportunity (26 May – 8 July) for a Child Health Nurse to join their multidisciplinary team of Doctors, Aboriginal Health Practitioners/Workers, Nurses, Medical Receptionists and a Clinic Manager providing a range of culturally appropriate and comprehensive primary health care services to the local Aboriginal communities.
Job Requirements: Your primary responsibility will be to actively contribute to the delivery of clinical services, health education and promotion of the Child health Program in a supportive, quality effective and efficient manner to meet the health care needs of the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse with qualifications in Community and Child Health/Child Health or equivalent, have a well-developed understanding of Primary Health Care and the health issues that impact on the health and well-being of Aboriginal people.
